Owner and Pharmacist of Wexford Heights Pharmasave, Minaaz Kara considers it a privilege to serve the warm, friendly, and highly diverse community of Wexford Heights. From young to old, Minaaz has always enjoyed getting to know each generation of a family – sometimes up to 3 generations in fact.
He and his father Gulamali and brother Riyaz purchased the pharmacy from original owner and Pharmacist Nelson Stader in the early 2000’s, and continued to grow and shape it into the full store it is today. He credits Nelson and his father as his greatest mentors, and his brother Riyaz as his inspiration until his passing in 2004. And now more than just a Pharmacy, Wexford Heights Pharmasave is your one-stop-shop for all your daily needs, from perishable and non-perishable items to gifts, toys, office supplies and more. A full Home Health Care department and Cosmetics department is fully stocked to meet all your needs.
Minaaz received his degree in Pharmacy from the University of London in 1988, being part of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain.
When not at the store, Minaaz has dedicated his life to his family, and inner work as well – becoming a Black Belt 1st degree in Taekwondo.
